This year has seen a rise in the popularity of video on social media. Year-to-date, our social media analysis shows videos on social media get 43% more engagement than images, and drive, on average, 60% higher media value per post.

In light of this, we’re excited to bring you a number of new offerings to help you value your social media videos.

VALUE YOUR TIKTOK CAMPAIGNS IN THE MEDIA VALUE CENTER

TikTok joins Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube as our newest supported social media platform. If you or your partners post to TikTok, your Customer Success Manager can provide you with all the information you need to purchase add-on support for TikTok, to access valuation of TikTok, directly in MVC.

COMPARE YOUR TIKTOK PERFORMANCE WITH OTHER TEAMS

Looking to measure your TikTok performance against key performance indicators? Launching September 30, our new Social Benchmarking add-on will allow you to compare your TikTok growth against teams within your league. Contact your CSM for more information.

SPONSOR MEDIA VALUE METHODOLOGY FOR VIDEO POSTS

This fall, we've updated how sponsor media value is calculated on video posts, weighting duration of sponsor visibility more heavily. This means that a brand in frame for longer will be given greater consideration in the valuation. In nearly all cases, this means more media value per post in line with what we are seeing in the market. Beginning October 5th, all social video content will be valued using this new methodology.

IG TV NOW INCLUDED IN INSTAGRAM ANALYSIS

Finally, live in MVC now, valuation of IG TV posts is included in your Instagram analysis for all tracked accounts. Find these posts within MVC Insights and Reports, and drill down for more detail on the Social Posts page. Due to limitations with Instagram’s API, we are no longer able to support analysis of Reels or posts from Instagram Consumer accounts. Full details of our supported social media post types and limitations are available here.
